A Flower Given to My Daughter

Frail the white rose and frail are
Her hands that gave
Whose soul is sere and paler
Than time's wan wave.

Rosefrail and fair — yet frailest
A wonder wild
In gentle eyes thou veilest,
My blueveined child.

James Joyce... wow! This is pretty amazing. My school is producing one of his plays early next year. "The Dead"

My blueveined child .. stunning. Lucia, his daughter suffered from mental illness multiple personality disease (can't spell the real word for it)

His words make me go "ouch" sometimes. In the best way.
