The man whose riches satisfy his greed

The man whose riches satisfy his greed
Is not more rich for all those heaps and hoards
Than some poor man who has enough to feed
And clothe his corpse with such as God affords.

I have no use for men who steal and cheat;
The fruit of evil poisons those who eat.

Some wicked men are rich, some good men poor,
But I would rather trust in what's secure;
Our virtue sticks with us and makes us strong,
But money changes owners all day long.

    Excellent!

    I love the hook in the end. Clever...and tightly written. Reminds me of Wadsworth.
    This presents good thought to what is needed. Thank you for giving us this idea in the best written form! CookieZeal

    yay!

    hmmm.... this reminds me of the song "we're gonna die from our own arrogance" by sublime..... early man walked away, modern man took control, their minds weren't all the same, to conquer was a goal, so he built his great empire and he slaughtered his own kind, he died a confused man killed himself with his own mind.

    yeah, money fucks this up, doesn't it. hmm. well stay sic, good job.

    rock on and all that good shit-
