In this world of ours,

Yo no naka wa kutte hako shite nete okite
Sate sono ato wa shinuru bakari zo

In this world of ours,
We eat only to cast out,
Sleep only to wake,
And what comes after all that
Is simply to die at last.

It depends whether dying is good or not. But poem is definitely reflective of our Nature.

    all season

Basho is the father of haiku. His thoughts are extremely realistic . No one can escape through his music magic. This one is as sweet as any other of his haikus.

To this I would say, "For everything under the sun there is a season." I don't believe dying is so bad either.

so true, yet much less depressing as this poem would have me believe. it's Life. it's industrialism, in my opinion, that restricts us.
