Resurgam

Exiled afar from youth and happy love,
If Death should ravish my fond spirit hence
I have no doubt but, like a homing dove,
It would return to its dear residence,
And through a thousand stars find out the road
Back into earthly flesh that was its loved abode.

  • We have something in common since I too am exiled far from my youth. However I do not have Seeger's confidence in ultimate reincarnation.
Still he does write a good poem.

This is very interesting. It's an idea- that in death, everything can be free.
