Upon the path of dreams

Upon the path of dreams
My feet don't rest,
Constantly trailing to you, yet
In reality, a single glimpse:
Not even that have I had of you.

Another translation by Kenneth Rexroth:

Although I come to you constantly
over the roads of dreams,
those nights of love
are not worth one waking touch of you.

This is so true!! Often times one dreams of that one special person whom the eyes have not yet seen, yet thinking of whom brings alot of content to him/her...it makes him or her feel that he/she has a special someone in the world made "just for him" or "just for her". Dreams are probably the only way to see this person until God wills to see them in the real world.

This was really full of lots of emotion packed into five lines. One of my favourites by Ono no Komachi.

    A very good poem.

The dream paradigm about following someone that she hasn't ever seen in real life raising the question about who she was following.

I know of this particular impression and wordage astounded. It breaks within ourselves and then it empties out onto the floor we gather it up and carefully place each piece back where it belongs but most times we mess up and thus it falls to pieces once more.

my metaphorical analogy I reckon of this piece. A good one tho, speaks volumes in its guise.
