Visible colours (Invisible passions)
Fade from
This world's
Human hearts
And flowers.

I echo Blondeoverblue's thoughts on this tanka. I felt exactly the same way about it on reading it over and over again. I'm with the poetess on this one...This has a sense of sabi to it and makes the reader feel a sense of deep grief for the poetess.

I think it pretty much depends on one’s frame of mind when reading this piece.
When hopelessly in love it seems impossible to think of life in any other way. But when recovering from a broken heart, the colours of the world seem muted, so that even the brightest and the most beautiful of flowers seem faded. -
I think I agree with Nam on this one. I don't like this as much as I like her other stuff - it seems to lack the same passion her other poems contain. But oh well, its still good

The poem is true enough perhaps. The subject may be the same from 'Its Over!. Emotions long gone do fade and cool. In fact it may become a silly self-indulgence to attempt to revive them. One must live in the present.
It is lucky for people that God is eternal, and that people
aren't ever far from God. -
I disagree, it is there, and when it isn't it is still there, just have to look deep within ones' soul to find it.
It is a quaint piece, filled with bitter emptiness.
