In a dream, I saw a wedding
And I think the bride was you.
You the bride and I a beggar
At the porch - it may be true!
Let it happen as I dreamed it!
Only promise, as you stand
At the porch, to have the kindness -
Put no alms into my hand!

This poem has a long lasting effect. Such a simple rhyme scheme with how very deep meanings...especially the last line "Put no alms into my hand! " what a great thought...some one who has lost his\ her beloved can only feel the pain in this very simple and noble expression .the beggar seeking for no alms...what a beautiful self contradiction.... the beggar of love, alms of tears...the more we think ,the more we feel ,the more we cry ,the more we enjoy...Its a pure classic
