I Cry

Sometimes when I'm alone
I Cry,
Cause I am on my own.
The tears I cry are bitter and warm.
They flow with life but take no form
I Cry because my heart is torn.
I find it difficult to carry on.

If I had an ear to confiding,
I would cry among my treasured friend,
but who do you know that stops that long,
to help another carry on.

The world moves fast and it would rather pass by.
Then to stop and see what makes one cry,
so painful and sad.
And sometimes…
I Cry
and no one cares about why.

But ive decided to relate it to tupac because his poems have alot of meaning. He can really absorb my feelings and i can relate to him for a better understanding. its true about "confiding" i do not think i can have the heart to tell any body about my serects confidently OH WELL =[

  • Sad..

    So sad but beautifull.
I thought this was a good poem to read..it held so much sadness and pain. I thought the effort put into was also very good. Every time he repeated the phrase: 'I Cry' It made the poem more intense ..like better to read and more heartfelt.

I am writing an essay on Tupac as the person I would bring back to life if I could. His poetry and music is just amazing. His poems bring tears to my eyes and I love reading his book. I'm 14 and I'm hispanic but I am not a chonga. I would be the last person you would think likes Tupac but race isn't important. It's what is in the soul and mind.

    From guest michaelcortez (contact)
being confused is the pain most people are nonconfused about but l rilized i was confused be for it confused me about who i am in side but if it took my death for live part of me to live well being confused is not to bad;a writing paraghraph is just aa bunch of letter but a skull is a paraghraph of love and faer all in one but everyone is confused because they are confused about who i am or is it that don't know me so being confused is the same as not knowing which is also a confusing pain; p.s. i can sing and rap so please find @8173684803

Mr. Shakur, this poem touches my heart every time I read it. Men do cry too. I cry when I am in solitude and pray to the Lord to help me through. You and your collective body of work is truly an inspiration to me, and it is a factor that reminds me to stay strong and not give up. You give young people hope, yet you instill a truth in them that is often sugar-coated. Much Love & Respect...

    I cry as well...

In solitude and silence we shed tears. In this country I shed tears for those gunned down. Tupac is one that was taken away from us long before his prime. It is sad that so many have been killed by the insanity of man and his jealousy. To smite a flame at such a young age is senseless. My hope is that someday we learn to agree to disagree instead of killing. Excellent work by a young prophet!

tupac was the best, he was a rapper but afraid to tap into his other side in peotry and acting. His poems and music inpire me to carry on though times get hard it can be worth it to carry on. The Rose that grew from the conrete and I cry are my favorite poems by tupac and remind me of my life and the stuggles me and my family go through and it reminds me to just pick myself up keep my head up and move on to a brighter day.

    From guest David Strait (contact)
This is one mans life on how life fails to stop and see what is most important in ones life. How sad it that the police didn't even stop long enough to search for his killer. It is heart broken that poetry's written by Tupac did not continue for a longer time. His poetry carried a form of the old and the new.

People say that this man was JUST a rapper, but he wasn't. he was also a poet. Most people read his lyrics, and see him only as a rapper. People who understand whats poetry is, and how to find the meaning behind poems, and lyrics know the difference, other people don't. People who don't understand only see rhymes, and no meaning, but behind everything that is written, there is a meaning.

    As a human

A typical human being, rough on the exterior, and contemplating on his own from the inside.
It takes a strong man and a tough nut to defy emotions and keep on living amid all the scars.

But it takes even a stronger man to understand his weakness, and try to let it all out, in the form of a poem.

This makes me feel the same, thank you Tupac.

    From guest Keng (contact)
I cry to look in my mothers eyes, I cry to see my family's lifes, Things been so hard to be my kind, But i live broken and pround, Make the name Hmong loud, The lost ones brings back pain, Things will never be the same, The memories kills, Pain, Thats all i see and feel, One day we will reunite and heal, Reunite to help stop the pain, Till then, I cry to look in my mother in the eyes.

im a poetry writer myself, i find it very uplifting. when im down about something, elated about something, or just want to vent, the poetry helps me exert. 2pac.. was a great poetry writer, and thats why he was one of the best rappers alive. he addressed every issue from teen pregnacy, drugs, females, to better days. better days is something we are all in need of, urgently. So pac inspires me to write from within. i am able to free my mind. when poetry helps me ease my mind on certain matters, it becomes easier to explain your situation to someone else. trust me.. This poem is very yet detailed. He writes how he feels. He concentrates on what is showing how he sad. The tear that moves with life yet have no form.

Questions one never ask to himself.

"but who do you know stops for long"

yet my answer is Jesus who always does.

he doesn't use vocaulary but his natural way of speaking makes this poem unique.

the emotions are shown n his write.
sometimes I wonder does he ever change his work?
his work have so many freedom.
