I have a place on the Chungnan slopes.
Sitting there you can see the Mountains.
No one there, no guests, the gate is closed.
No plans all day, just time and silence.
Nothing stops you gazing and dreaming.
Why not come and try to find me there?

I shall bring a bottle of wine, to toast unspoken words.

I don't think any other culture has quite followed the poetic path the Chinese have taken. Here Wei has not used an poetic device (other than end rhyme I believe was used in tyhe original language.) Just the simple yet delicate description of soild images around him, and why? You pass the feeling he had to his readers. 1300 years may have passed and the place on Chungnan mountain may well of gone. But the feeling of that moment still remains.
