Foot-Soldiers

'Tis all the way to Toe-town,
Beyond the Knee-high hill,
That Baby has to travel down
To see the soldiers drill.

One, two, three, four, five, a-row—
A captain and his men—
And on the other side, you know,
Are six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

This verse "Foot-Soldiers" was a verse that my Mother recited to my children, but I never all the verses or the author. My children wanted to share it with their children, so this site was found and I am so thankful to know about the verse and the author.
