Soothsayers

The winds that, gipsy-wise, foretold
The fortune of to-day,
At twilight, with the gathered gold
Of sunset, stole away:

And of their cloud accomplices
That prophesied the rain,
Upon the night-forsaken skies
No vestiges remain.
