A Blind Man's Epitaph

His eyes were dim; so here he lies,
Whose death came after his dim-ise.

Notes

Tabb was going blind throughout his life, it's said that he was totally blind the last year of his life.

As I placed in the poem Notes (so people wouldn't think a Priest was being cruel to the blind, but it's not like Priests haven't been cruel before) he was going blind and was blind at the end of his life; I feel that this is a piece at him jabbing himself at that misfortune.

A nice short verse that Father Tabb has written here.
