Night settles

Night settles on this mountain village;
a dog barks 'way over there.
From the gate of my hut
I see a cold moon in a cold sky.
Hey there dog! Why bark like that?
The moon and I want to sleep.

    LOL...You can't help but see the comical side to this sijo. I find the humour in this piece to be modern in delivery, or maybe that is just how I see it. (It would be nice to get Larry's view on the humour).

    A wonderful and light hearted look on a common annoyance. This piece works well, the form effective for the delivery of such a perspective on life.
