I waited for you yesterday since morning,
They guessed you wouldn't come,
Do you remember the weather? Like a holiday!
I went out without a coat.
Today came, and they fixed for us
A somehow specially dismal day,
It was very late, and it was raining,
The drops cascading down the chilly branches.
No word of comfort, tears undried…

Irma Raush, translation is better
From guest Evan (contact)
I believe "like a holiday", is more like "a true holiday" again I believe there is a much better translation found in the subtitles of Adrei Tarkovsky's The Mirror. I remember the subtitles where written by Andrei's wife Irma Raush, and I found her translation flowed better; certain words were different, I will look for the translation soon. Lines that seem hollow like "I went out without a coat" are in the film as "I did not have my coat that day" seems to fit better somehow.
