If all the old stories are true that we hear
Of wolves and their doings, it's certainly queer
The only idea that they have about girls
Is to eat them up whole with their baskets and curls,
Whereas Romulus, Remus, and Mowgli, and others
Have found them, we're told, most affectionate mothers . . .
Why is it, you ask? . . . well four words are enough
To solve the whole mystery — 'Boys are too tough!'
