I went to heaven,--

I went to heaven,—
'T was a small town,
Lit with a ruby,
Lathed with down.
Stiller than the fields
At the full dew,
Beautiful as pictures
No man drew.
People like the moth,
Of mechlin, frames,
Duties of gossamer,
And eider names.
Almost contented
I could be
'Mong such unique
Society.

Seems like the poet went to heaven. It was a small town, lit with rubies, washed clean, stiller (peaceful) than the fields, enriched nature like the beautiful pictures, that no men has painted. All the people of nature- the moth, frames (paintings) of mechlin (city of belgium), works of gossamer, and eider (ducks) names . They almost contended that they could be among such unique society(heaven).

I'm not certain what the last line means but I really like the pictures this draws. On the abstract edge, but painting concrete thoughts. Leaves a very ambiguous aroma.
    Peace
