Mourning in Andalusia

If white is the colour
of mourning in Andalusia,
it is a proper custom.

Look at me,
I dress myself in the white
of white hair
in mourning for youth.

I took a line from this piece, which happens to be the title and wrote a Cento Haiku with it.

I find, tho short, that it speaks so much more than it lets on. It shows, to me, what is encompassed around us, and through the author's mind as well, what he feels is encompassed.

how still one must sit whilst pondering such short words imbued here, trying to envision the he of long white beard and long white hair reminnising his youth and mourning the passing of his spring
