Slave Boy

They shaved his head
to clothe him in ugliness
out of jealousy and fear
of his beauty.

They erased the night
and left him in dawn.

I think some of the meaning is usually lost when someone translates. Sometimes two different people can translate a poem and it will be different in each piece, so one is left to wonder which is the closest or right verison.

This is a strong image. Making someone ugly and then shining light on them in ridicule. Tragic but it happens often

No errors do I see. This is a great piece said in such few words. The translation read great as well, usually they don't read as well. A great piece written here.
