Identity

SOMEWHERE—in desolate wind-swept space—
In Twilight-land—in No-man's land—
Two hurrying Shapes met face to face,
And bade each other stand.

"And who are you?" cried one a-gape,
Shuddering in the gloaming light.
"I know not," said the second Shape,
"I only died last night!"

Ewhhh..this was wonderful. My kinda' 'Old'! sounds as if he's not sure if he's done the right thing and begins a script of calm argument of his two views!!! heheeh..Sounds like me alright.

I love the little twist at the end--one of my favorite features of short poems. Amusing, but it sets one's mind in motion too. :-D
