I Saw A Jolly Hunter

I saw a jolly hunter
With a jolly gun
Walking in the country
In the jolly sun.

In the jolly meadow
Sat a jolly hare.
Saw the jolly hunter.
Took jolly care.

Hunter jolly eager-
Sight of jolly prey.
Forgot gun pointing
Wrong jolly way.

Jolly hunter jolly head
Over heels gone.
Jolly old safety catch
Not jolly on.

Bang went the jolly gun.
Hunter jolly dead.
Jolly hare got clean away.
Jolly good, I said.

    Hysterical

I want to thank whoever promoted this. I read it in a lit class a couple of years back, and I thought it was hysterical. I am not opposed to hunting, but it is a very funny poem, and then, in another lit class it was the theme of our end of the year party, because we had so many hunters in the class. I took a cake with a Bugs Bunny holding the gun on Elmer Fudd. LOL. Okay, enough personal stuff. Thanks again for this promotion.
