Man Kunto Maula


Man kunto maula,
Fa Ali-un maula
Man kunto maula.
Dara dil-e dara dil-e dar-e daani.
Hum tum tanana nana, nana nana ray
Yalali yalali yala, yalayala ray Man tunko maula......

TRANSLATION-
"Whoever accepts me as a master,
Ali is his master too."

{Rest of the lines are Tarana bols, which are meaningless and are chants of the sufi saints}

    Who ever has developed this site ,my salute to him /her. Amir khusro is no ordinary person /poet .I recall Ann Mary Schimell here the reputed, German Orientalist “What ever Aimr khusro is today, its is because of Nizam ud Deen Auliya of Delhi. Khusro too has endlessly confessed in hi s poetry “ Khusro Tau Bus Bulund Shudi ,Dur tarik-e- Aishq. If I am or have any ststus then it in not because of my Ishq (love)with my sheikh (Nizam ud deen). A person of his stature in literature/poetry therefore, particularly of those times would not have ever spilled meaningless word s, as you have mentioned . By the way “ Man kunto Maula,Fa Ali-un maula is what Profit Muhammad S.A, once narrated to express his highest appreciation fo r ALI his Cousin and also later his, Son in Law.Amir Khusro has only quoted here a Hadees (Prophet’s sayings) in a bundish and the lines that follow are also a further explaination of the status ‘Ali’ enjoys in the spritual world , consquently and truly so and his considered closeness to GOD is here explained. Dara dil-e dara dil-e dar-e daani. ‘ If your heart understand this intricately ( saying o f the Prophet) and if it really does understands this status of ALI, where as generally peoples as me and you do not and will not ,will not, will not then let it be known that GOD and ALI, I repeat GOD & ALI are GOD Hum tum tanana nana, nana nana ray Yalali yalali yala, yalayala ray Man tunko maula......is a repetition Thank you fr your patience..Warm regds.

    "Rest of the lines are Tarana bols, which are meaningless and are chants of the sufi saints"} *****THERE IS NOTHING MEANINGLESS OR WITHOUT A REASON, EVEN A MERE COMMA OR FULLSTOP HAS BE MEANING AND REASON, IT IS BECAUSE ONE DOES NOT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO INTERPRET IT HENCE SAYS SUCH BLASPHEMY. MAY ALLAH PROTECT AND SAVE US FROM SUCH THINGS AND FROM THE PEOPLE WHO INDULGE IN SUCH THINGS. AMIN. "AL MADAD YAA MOULA ALI"
