A Drinking Song

Wine comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.

    I absolutely love this piece. It is so succinct in its message. We have but moments to soak it all in within the grand scheme of things...might as well enjoy it while it lasts. This is superb!

    lol. i'm marking this poem. the only people who know anything, after all, are those who know they know nothing. so, enjoy love and wine before it's too late --
