And the days are not full enough
And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse
Not shaking the grass

This inspires a level of trust in ones' ability to just explore varied writing styles! I just sent this poem to a dear friend of mine: her uncle died. This poem, somehow, just makes sense. Nothing needs to be added to it, or taken away. Normally, one would never repeat the same words in so short a piece, and yet, after reading this, why not? It is perfect in its brevity, message and form.

It's so simple, yet so complex at the same time. It's a depressing lament about life not making any difference.

Wow. This poem is amazing. It is so short, but yet still holds so much meaning. I love the ending too. It paints a perfect picture in my mind. Very amazing.

Man, this is short...but sooooooo very true.
And then, when all is said and done...will they say of us, "They did not shake the grass." How sad.
