Epigram II - Lord Molasses

IS it not strange that Lord Molasses
Should dare to preach to soldiers' wives,
And seek to rob the working-classes
Of both their money and their lives ?
Oh no ! A peer of new creation
Broad-based on wholesale groceries
Will still preserve an inclination
For paring other people's cheese.
