The Rose Family

The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose.
But the theory now goes
That the apple's a rose,
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only knows
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose -
But were always a rose.

In a time of cheapening standards one thing remains the same...you are and were always a rose.

That is the quick thought, the next one wonders if it's ironic, and his assessment of the person is meant to follow the possible premise that "in this world where the standard of quality is cheapened...you were always cheap."

    Probably not.

    Beautiful N deep

This is simple yet deep thought.all the lines are rhymed, every line is a rose, I suppose but the last two lines are wonderful.
