Hamlet

Said Hamlet to Ophelia,
I'll draw a sketch of thee,
What kind of pencil shall I use?
2B or not 2B?

This poem is amazing. This is the second Milligan's poem I have ever read (unfortunately), and I just can't wait to read another one. Such a clever use of words in such witty way!

I liked this because it kind of played around with the fact that shakespeare wrote lots and lots of serious, tragic pieces, as well as comedies, and he did each of them well. This was well-done. Clever, definitely.

I really love this poem because it uses both seriousness (shakespeare) and both comedy also there are other poems of Spike's that folloe the same pattern and are just as funny if you want to find more then you should consider buying 'The Compulsive Spike Milligan' you can get it from 'Works' in Wolverhampton's Mander Center it's well worth it

I love this poem. It shows how Spike sees some things and likes to bring it to people's attention. His silliness is attractive to his works, and when they're read, they're loved by many.

I do not see any spelling errors. I must say, this is funny and at the same time it is clever. I think that is a very lovely piece that *Spike Milligan* wrote. Even has a /sweet/ quality to it.

Spike, a great example of how a poet can succeed without having to have his head up his own arse.
Great one and a great dedication:)

He was a great favourite of mine _ read his autobiographry and albeit sad in places - it just cracked me up.

    The Raspberry Song:
    /In a little town where I belong, there's a most accomplished fellow
he's the leader of the village choir, and his voice is warm and mellow
he drives a fruit cart round the street, and everybody knows it
he doesn't sing or rave about his fruit, he simply blows it etc. etc./
