Through every nook and every cranny
The wind blew in on poor old Granny
Around her knees, into each ear
(And up her nose as well, I fear)
All through the night the wind grew worse
It nearly made the vicar curse
The top had fallen off the steeple
Just missing him (and other people)
It blew on man, it blew on beast
It blew on nun, it blew on priest
It blew the wig off Auntie Fanny-
But most of all, it blew on Granny!

Kinda funny but you feel sorry for poor old granny. I love these, they're so childish and cute.

I feel there is an error in this line whether from Spike Milligan's point-of-view or the person who posted this piece.
In this line: '(And up nose as well, I fear)' I feel it is missing a word. '(And up 'her' nose as well, I fear)' or
'(And up 'the' nose as well, I fear)' I just feel it is missing a word.
This is another humorous piece.

This is a firm favourite of mine too. I'm a Spike fan, read his books, he was unique!

This is my most favourite poem of all, I had to read it out for a group of old people as a part of the poetry group I was in at school, brings back a lot of good mem'ries...Darianna x
