  • The Rat's and star line is a refference to George Orwell's 1984 I believe..But your write.. She was emotionally destraught and torn inside. She felt a real suffering for the world and her life.

  • on 45 Mercy Street by Anne Sexton, on June 1, 2004
The thing I've always admired about Anne Sexton is her unapologetic nature. She wrote what she felt, raw and full of emotion. And she didn't care what descrepancies and bad behaviour provoked.
She, to me, is the embodiment of what what women should be.
why is the word so afraid of expressing emotion. And why does society condem those who are volitile..

  • on Wanting to Die by Anne Sexton, on November 5, 2003
I don't think that there could ever be words enough to express how I Feel about this piece. It's absolutely plastered on my thought like the most sallow wallpaper. I want to overt my eyes, but it's everywhere.

  • on After Auschwitz by Anne Sexton, on November 5, 2003
I love how she takes something like the holocaust and make it so personal to the individual. Though her forum is primarily and expression of life and expieriences as a woman..Perhaps the reference to "men" is a reference to mankind. Everyday we wage war on ourselves for teritory and power. We dehumanize each other and degrade the value of human life for a scale of miles of dirt.

Ok I'm just getting riled up here so I'm going to stop.
