    Hmmmm.Tthe price of having a heart to big. Is the pain truly worth it? Sensibilities of today are not so different from then. We now just call them opinions and common sense.

  • I believe he was writting about a mermaid. Am I right? Well that is the image I had formed into my head. That of a lonely mermaid singing to the shore looking for a mate, but alas the sailor is too late.

    I could see just how this would have made a very impressive song for the times. It is personal , yet still has a universal understanding. Very wonderful.
    I think Isaw a spelling mistake thoughin the 3rd. line. Shouldnt it be
    "You'll know I'm right, If you'll just,"

    What beautiful imagery this has. A complete tale of a rainy day on the prairie. I swear I could almost see Laura Ingalls Wilder. To bad the smell coming out does not smell the same going in.Just a thought.
