Poems about Sad
|
Last night, when I was listenin’
Alone, to wind and rain,
There must be a wound!
No one can be this hurt
Clay is the word and clay is the flesh
Where the potato-gatherers like mechanised scarecrows move
I DREAMED that one had died in a strange place
Near no accustomed hand,
Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Jab qata ki masafat e shab aaftaab ne
Jalwa kiya sahar ke rukhe behijaab ne
Teeth of flowers, hairnet of dew,
hands of herbs, you, perfect wet nurse,
Behind him the hotdogs split and drizzled
On the public grills, and the ochreous salt flats,
"Nought loves another as itself,
Nor venerates another so,
With two white roses on her breasts,
White candles at head and feet,
There is sorrow in the household;
There's a grief too hard to bear;
"Mother dear, may I go downtown
Instead of out to play,
Little little man, little little man,
set free your canary that wants to fly.
So each passing minute with you
Pendulummed with sadness.
Jheelon se chaar paaye na uthte thay taaba shaam
Maskan mein machliyoon ke samandar ka tha maqaam
I sat before my glass one day, And conjured up a vision bare,
Yet, yet a moment, one dim ray of light
Indulge, dread Chaos, and eternal Night!
Unaware of my crime
they stood me in the dock.
Dans une terre grasse et pleine d'escargots Je veux creuser moi-même une fosse profonde,
So here, twisted in steel, and spoiled with red
your sunlight hide, smelling of death and fear,
Farewell, dear, young friends;
though parting is painful,
Always at dusk, the same tearless experience, The same dragging of feet up the same well-worn path
When you lay before me dead,
in such a pallid rest;
Go away girl, go away and let me pack my dreams
My melancholy was gold dust in your hands;
On your long hands I scattered my life;
TELL me why, behind thee, I see always the shadow of another lover?
Ghosts crying down the vistas of the years,
Recalling words
He proved divine delight, knew grace untold,
Beheld the Cross uplifted and, before
I wept until my tears were dry
I prayed until the candles flickered
A lonely young wife
In her dreaming discerns
