    The structure, rhyming scheme etc of this is faultless, but I have always failed to see why people gush over it so much. I have read so many other poems that measure up to The Raven with regards to the form and out do it in every other aspect. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea :-) but it has never struck me as a literary masterpiece. It's good, don't get me wrong, just not amazing.

  • I've never read any of Lord Byron before, but I think I'm about to get fairly well aquanted with his work if this is a good example, because it is simply amazing!
