on A Study in the 'Nood' by Henry Lawson, on June 28, 2004This is both funny and sad at the same time. I see that it was written in 1910 but believe that the same thing could still happen today, more's the pity.

on The Pig by Roald Dahl, on May 27, 2004I've always liked Dahl as well. Nice to see something I'd not seen before. Pigs Rule!!!

on Butterfly Laughter by Katherine Mansfield, on April 2, 2004Great to see our famous writer featured here.
This poem also brings back memories of my younger sister's plate that had a picture of a clown pulling along a toy duck on wheels. It even had a poem to go with it -
"Here comes Monty Duck
And his funny master
With a quack, quack, quack,
He comes waddling after."
I'm surprised that I can still remember this after more than 50 yrs -
on Topsy-Turvy World by William Brighty Rands, on March 22, 2004A lively rhythmic piece that would appeal to children. I especially like the chorus of mixed up nursery rhymes.
